For Christmas, for the birth of our hope

For Christmas, for the birth of our hope

It is absolutely useless to mention what is going on in the world at Christmas time nowadays.

Christmas means totally different for us.

It is the promise of the Living God and the birth of our hope.

Hope

We must forget its standard meaning to feel its real sense and its wonderful power.

I have hardly met this expression in the form of certainty or strength.

There is another word in very close relationship with hope; this is PROMISE, the Father’s wonderful promise.

Promise is the Messiah and His liberating promise which was embodied in our Lord, Jesus Christ.

PROMISE IS JESUS CHRIST, THE CHRISTIAN PRINCIPLE.

So, can we say who doesn’t believe in Christ he hasn’t got hope?

‘Remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.’ Ephesians 2.12

‘Such is the destiny of all who forget God, so perishes the hope of the godless.’ Job 8.13

‘The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hopes of the wicked come to nothing.’  Proverbs 10.28

Not only we can say this but it is our duty to share this with our fellow-creatures.

‘Brothers we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.’ 1 Thessalonians 4.13

Since Christ opened the way before us and brought the Word of the Living God, the promise is not a promise any more.

The fulfilled promise is HOPE.

‘Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.’ Romans 5.2

The Christian principle is we are invited by God to return to Him and to our inheritance.

‘And this is what He promised us-even eternal life.’ 1 John 2.25

What does this really mean to me?

 Who has hope?

Many people look for secrets although the secret is that Christ is among us and the Christian principle works.

‘The mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints. To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.’ Colossians 1. 26-27

God gave us living hope through the resurrection and showed His endless love to us.

I can’t have hope just then if I belong to one of the denominations.

I can have hope through the truth of my faith.

I can have faith but without the power of the Holy Spirit I wouldn’t have any chance for persistence.

The clearer the Christian principle gets in me, the farther I am from my earthly desires and the more I oppose with the world, the earthly way-of-seeing or my surroundings.

There is a desire in me getting greater and greater towards the divine truth and I am looking forward to returning to my heavenly home.

‘But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteousness.’ 2 Peter 3.13

This is not painless.

Those trials, which we suffer because of our faith, train us if we are persistent, and we will be gifted with the blessing of hope that overcomes fear and timidity when the time comes.

‘Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance, perseverance, character, and character hope. And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us. You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.’ Romans 5.3-6

If there are times, when we feel we can’t carry it forward, at the time of weakness and powerless God helps us by the Spirit of Solace.

‘In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.’ Romans 8.26

Hope can only be living for us if we really feel it for ourselves.

Without this inner conviction or feeling we can’t stay on the way home. If we offer ourselves to the Lord’s service with humbleness, we can be His tools through our faith.

We are not able to imagine how great His power is on us or what power He can endow us with His love.

‘I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know Him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength.’     Ephesians 1. 17-20

Do I have hope in the light of these?

Yes, I do.

As if I act wrongly and however far I feel from my Creator, I wait for help only from Him.

There is no truth in the world nor love. If we look around, we can see and experience more signs referring to the closeness of the Lord’s return.

Hope, that strengthens us, entitles us for this waiting.

The time is close when people get thirsty and hungry not for water or bread but for the Living God’s Word.

And if it arrives, we can trust in the divine truth that gains ground and tears off the scales of our eyes and finally we will see everything face to face.

‘At that time his voice shook the earth, but now He has promised, “Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens.” The words “once more” indicate the removing of what can be shaken-that is, created things-so that what cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our “God is a consuming fire.”’ Hebrews 12. 26-29

If we get a promise from God, we mustn’t consider ourselves different from others as every promise waits for fulfilment.

Every exercise waits for being done and every power waits for humbleness.

However our spirit, in human body, gets humbleness at a painful price. Yet, however hard the road is however deep the abyss is and however invisible the solution is the ties engraved on our hearts are continuously glowing.

Our minds don’t understand it many times but the hope, instilled in us, holds us even when we give up not because of us but because the wonderful task which is our holy task to fulfil.

The most important is that our hope must point to one way, to God.

Nevertheless everyone has his personal task and work.

Our road to the Creator leads through Christ but there are so many parts of the body that we don’t recognise each other through our lives. But if we recognise them by God’s grace, we mustn’t be afraid of undertaking our weaknesses or strengthening the divine power by the trust in Him and by our faith.

Lets act that is in our spirits, lets insist on our feelings and fill up our hearts with those people’s love who feel and try to live God’s wonderful love for us: the LIFE.

Brothers!

Dare to believe in the promise, don’t let the fear to paralyse your intentions.

Glance at Jesus and look at the people who follow Him.

As there are people like this, although their lives are not wonderful, they are God’s people.

We are all the Father’s children. There are no moments happening without angels sent to us by Him to warn us.

The Holy Bible is true, this nurses our true hope.

I know my final goal despite being afraid, which is just my weakness.

Apart from this our Lord speaks to us day by day:  ...don’t you know me?

For the visitors of our web

We won't argue with anybody as everybody is given the opportunity to find proof for our words' authenticity.

Those who find evidence for it will not argue with us. Those who don't find it, we have nothing to argue about.

You ask how I can get evidence.

Turn to the most competent, to GOD.
